About Chinese Institute for Immunology
Chinese Institute for Immunology was established in 2024, with Professor Shao-Cong Sun, a distinguished immunologist, serving as the founding director. The institute currently has 8 Principal Investigators (PIs) and 8 independent laboratories. Leveraging the interdisciplinary platform of the CIMR and collaborating institutions, the institute serves as the core unit of the Beijing Key Laboratory of Autoimmune Disease Mechanism Research and Novel Drug Development. The institute is dedicated to fundamental and translational research in the forefront field of immunology. The research focuses on core scientific issues related to immune system regulation and disease intervention, with major research directions including: mechanisms of immune tolerance and immune regulation, discovery and drug screening of novel immunomodulatory molecules, pathogenesis and therapeutic strategies for autoimmune and inflammatory diseases, mechanisms of tumor immunity and immunotherapy, infection and immunity, and neuroimmunology. Through interdisciplinary collaborative innovation and domestic and international academic exchanges, the institute aims to promote groundbreaking advancements in immunological theories, develop transformative clinical therapeutic tools, and cultivate innovative talents with international competitiveness.
