Laboratory Introduction

The Zhang laboratory develop novel computational and experimental methods to track human development, aging, and disease across time domains on single-cell, single-molecule resolution. 

 

The laboratory uses a combination of deep learning, bioinformatics, forward and reverse genetics, and sequencing approaches on human samples and animal models, to:

a. Develop methods to extract latent information from biological data.

b. Develop novel methods to resolve dynamic biological process from static samples.

c. Dissect the molecular mechanism of epigenome replication, particularly in aging and disease.The laboratory conducts cross-disciplinary research with a combination of computational and experimental biological methods.

Open position

Research Assistant

Main Responsibilities

a. Conducting research projects either in collaboration with the team or independently.

b. Assisting PI for lab routine management.

 

Qualifications

a. B.Sc. in bioinformatics, biology or related major.

b. Experience in molecular biology experiments. Research experience in either next-generation sequencing, PacBio sequencing, or bioinformatics would be a plus.

c. Good communication skills and teamwork spirit.

d. Proficient in English reading, writing, and daily communication. Pass CET-6.
